How to Pray for the Forgiveness of Sins?
The Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist of the Lord, John was the saint who prepared the way for Jesus Christ. His life serves as an example of self-restraint and true repentance. In John’s baptism of people in the waters of the Jordan, the mystery of preparing souls for receiving God was fulfilled. The Akathist dedicated to him is a prayer of repentance, containing pleas for the forgiveness of sins. It sets the heart on the path of active transformation—moving from sin to purity. The true fruits of repentance are granted by the Lord to those who remain in prayer, through the unceasing intercession of St. John the Baptist. The key is to have faith and persistently ask God for peace in the soul and forgiveness.
What Prayer Should Be Said for Abortion?
The Akathist to St. John the Baptist is prayed by those who have undergone an abortion. This act leaves a heavy mark on the souls of parents who never got to meet their child. However, sincere repentance and God's mercy can heal these wounds. Prayers for the forgiveness of abortion are offered not only by women but also by men who allowed the unborn child’s life to be taken. God always helps those who bring heartfelt repentance, cleanse their hearts, and seek to wash their souls. The most important thing is to maintain a repentant spirit and never repeat the sin.
How to Help Someone Believe in God?
Helping someone find faith and come to God is possible through the intercession of St. John the Baptist. People pray to him through the Akathist, both for non-believers and for those who are already part of the Church (since there is no limit to spiritual growth). The Lord desires salvation for every soul. To wear the cross is to accept the Holy Spirit and begin a new, spiritual life. However, this is something the enemy of mankind strongly opposes. This journey can be difficult without powerful Heavenly helpers. The same saint who once pointed Israel to the living Christ continues to care for people today. Prayers to him do not go unheard.

The undying Psalter

Round-the-Clock Prayerful Protection with the Words of the Ancient Prayer Book of the Old Testament – Psalm 90 from the Psalter.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. ‘Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.’
