Following the ancient traditions of the Orthodox Church, where each day of the week corresponds to a specific prayer, Father Vladimir Golovin, at the request of many visitors, established a schedule of joint prayer through the reading of akathists. At the Skete of the Resurrection of Christ, three akathists are performed four times a day. The akathists, dedicated to the Lord, the Mother of God, the angelic hosts, and the saints, unite thousands of people worldwide in prayer for various issues—whether material or spiritual.
