The fact of God's help from Sophia 06.06.2024

Good day, dear fellow prayer warriors! I am writing yet another testimony about the great power and love of our God, through the intercession of the Mother of God, the saints, and the bodiless angels! I have been praying the Akathist prayer by agreement since April 2017 for myself and my loved ones. I prayed to St. George the Victorious for exactly three years (2018–2020) for my brother, as he works in the prosecutor’s office. I asked for the saint’s prayerful help so that everything at work would go well for him, that he would be protected from temptations and dishonest people. My brother is also pursuing a PhD while working, and his job is extremely demanding both mentally and in terms of workload, with great responsibility. At that time, he was an assistant prosecutor in a district prosecution office. During those years, through the prayers of St. George, everything went smoothly for him—he had a good team, a good working environment, and he successfully passed all certifications, inspections, and stressful evaluations. He also passed his PhD exams with flying colors. The saint’s help was felt in everything! However, the issue was that my brother had to commute daily to the district prosecutor’s office in a neighboring region, spending an hour each way driving. He was exhausted from the constant travel, plus fuel costs were consuming half of his salary. Meanwhile, he had a family and two children. He wanted to transfer to a prosecutor’s office within his own region, but that was virtually impossible without strong connections or money. But God had His own plans! In mid-January 2021, I decided to submit my brother’s name for the Akathist to Archangel Michael. Just two weeks into these prayers, my brother received a sudden phone call from the chief HR officer of the top prosecutor’s office of his region, inviting him for a meeting. My brother was shocked! At the meeting, he was offered a position three ranks higher than his current one—not just as an assistant prosecutor, but as a full prosecutor! However, this meant even greater responsibilities and required him to relocate because the new office was even farther away, making daily commuting impossible. Every key meeting, interview, and appointment order regarding his promotion took place either on Thursday or Monday. His new direct supervisor’s name is Yury Vladimirovich, and my brother found him to be very competent and humane. The most astonishing part? No one—not his colleagues, not his friends, not even our relatives—believes that my brother got this promotion without bribery or connections. Even he is still in shock at how this happened. Later, he was told that back in October of the previous year, a prosecutorial inspection team had visited his district, and the chief HR officer himself had noticed my brother’s professional qualities and marked him as a promising candidate. But in real life, such promotions without connections are nearly unheard of. But I know whose help this was! Of course, this means my brother will be even farther from home, only able to see his family on weekends. His workload and responsibility have greatly increased. But I believe that this is God's plan for him. I have faith that God will not abandon him, and I will continue to pray for him. Friends, if you have loved ones in law enforcement, the military, or similar fields—PRAY FOR THEM! It’s not just about career advancement (I wasn’t even praying for a promotion), but rather about protection from temptations, traps, and ill-wishers in these high-stakes professions. Pray for them! Glory to God for everything! He never abandons anyone!
