In 2016, I first saw a video about Father Vladimir. Thanks to his sermons, I understood a lot about my life. I pray with many Akathists—to Archangel Michael, to the Most Holy Theotokos, and others. But for some reason, I just couldn’t bring myself to start praying the Akathist to my Guardian Angel—it felt as if my hands were tied… Yet, I finally gathered my strength and began praying for myself, a sinner. Since childhood, I had suffered from constant nightmares and a fear of the dark. As I grew older, it didn’t go away—it only got worse. But after my very first prayer with the Akathist to Archangel Michael, my fear of the dark immediately disappeared! I didn’t even realize how it happened. And after my very first prayer with the Akathist to my Guardian Angel, the nightmares that had tormented me since childhood vanished. At first, I only prayed for myself, but then I started praying for my brother, who had nearly lost his humanity. I began fervently asking the Most Holy Theotokos for help. For six years, I prayed to Her, and in the end, my brother became unrecognizable—the Lord pulled him out of the abyss where he had been. The way he behaves now, the way he speaks, the way he thinks… He has been completely reborn! Glory to God for everything!
