Good afternoon! I am grateful to all my fellow prayer warriors! My husband drinks a lot of beer—it may not seem like a big deal, but when it happens almost every day, it becomes frightening. I didn’t know what to do. We constantly argued about his drinking, I cried, begged, even threatened divorce, but nothing helped. I had known about "Spiritual Lighthouse" on YouTube for a long time and hesitated about whether to start praying. Finally, in November 2022, I decided to pray, though I did not submit his name. Later, I learned that it was essential to pray by agreement with others, so in May 2023, I submitted his name and prayed for six months—but nothing changed. Every weekend, he drank even more. I kept praying every Wednesday. I decided to extend his commemoration with the Akathist to the Mother of God, "The Inexhaustible chalice," for another six months—but still, no change. So, I continued for another year. Our constant fights over beer gradually made him realize his problem. He even started saying himself that he couldn’t live without beer. Every two weeks, he would go on a 3-4 day drinking binge. I thought it would never end—I was falling into despair, he was passed out drunk, and I was crying and praying. After yet another binge, I talked to him again about seeking treatment (not for the first time), and this time, he said he wanted to! I continue to pray. Glory to God for everything!
