The fact of God's help from Elena 21.08.2024

Peace to all! I want to leave a testimony about the prayer to the Holy Martyr Abramius the Bulgar. My little son, soon to be three years old, is a cheerful, active boy who loves to walk and gets along well with other children. Our turn came to start kindergarten, and I never thought we would have such a difficult adjustment period. The first two days he went willingly, but that was it. After that, he didn’t want to go anymore. He didn’t throw tantrums, but he would just cry. In the group, he didn’t play with anyone, sat by himself, and waited for me. He became withdrawn, stopped smiling, and didn’t want to go outside. He would walk home looking down at his feet, and no matter how hard I tried to cheer him up, nothing worked. He stopped playing with the children in the yard, didn’t want to go to the playgrounds at all—only home. At home, he would sit and stare at one spot or lie down and just stay there. He lost his appetite. I went to the psychologist at the kindergarten, and they told me it was just his way of adjusting, but I became scared. When I brought him to kindergarten, I asked the Mother of God to be with my little son. Then I found out that on that very day, our nanny went on vacation, and they temporarily assigned us a new, wonderful nanny. I am so grateful—she spent half the day with my son, holding him in her arms and playing with him. The teacher told me this. Later, when I brought him in, he would cry but immediately run to her, and she would take him in her arms. However, his condition didn’t improve. I asked for advice in Bulgaria, and they blessed me to pray the Akathist to the Holy Martyr Abramius the Bulgar. I started praying, at first every day, and my son began to change before my eyes. His appetite returned, he started smiling again, running around the house, playing, and going outside. He began enjoying the playground again and playing with other children. He still doesn’t really want to go to kindergarten, but I think it’s because at home he has freedom, while there are rules at kindergarten. Our nanny worked for two months and then left. It turns out she is a student studying to be a teacher, but she came to our group precisely during this difficult time for us, when I asked the Mother of God to be near. I thank God, the Mother of God, the Holy Martyr Abramius the Bulgar, and all the saints for their prayers, help, and protection.
