Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jordan, Jericho...The Holy Land—a place of life, deeds, and prayers of the ancient patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and others… A place of prayerful service by the ancient prophets: David, Isaiah, Micah, Elijah… A place of fiery preaching on the banks of the Jordan by the Great Forerunner.

A place where God Himself, in human form, walked the earth, and by the very fact of His incarnation—His entry into time—He united heaven and earth. A place where the preaching of the first apostles resounded, where the first Christian martyr’s blood was shed, where countless renowned ascetics of Orthodoxy struggled in faith.

This entire land is deeply imbued with the Holy Spirit. It is a place where prayer before the Lord is heard in a special way.
