Orthodox Caucasus... Orthodox Abkhazia... A land that heard the preaching of the apostles: Simon the Zealot and others. Here, with his final breath and in gratitude to God, the exiled and great John Chrysostom surrendered his soul to the Almighty. Here, in these mountains, the ascetic prayers of hermit fathers have never ceased. They continue to burn even in our time.

The ascetics of piety, in their personal hermit prayers, gathered in a small skete, offer prayers not only for themselves but for the entire world. High in the mountains, closer to heaven, in the land of apostles and martyrs, in the land of venerable and righteous ones. Is it not through their prayers that all of us live?!
